Connecting people in real-time across galleries in Adelaide, Murray Bridge and Bordertown

Lacunae transforms our separation into something where joy and connection bubbles up through movement, music and art.

Recreated from its premiere run at MONA FOMA 2020 by Tasmanian tech-art collective Soma Lumia, this boundary-pushing team have taken their distinctively hybrid media practice to create a dance party reflective of the world’s recent experience with lock-down and isolation.

Joined via live-feed to share silhouettes and music tracks simultaneously from different locations, people can communicate and dance with one another across SA in this joyous shared space full of colour, music and movement.

Music tracks by composer Jesse Budel.

Whilst it is not mandatory to wear masks to enter Lacunae we encourage patrons to protect themselves by wearing a mask.

Also appearing as part of City Lights.

Presented by the South Australian Museum, Adelaide together with Murray Bridge Regional Gallery and the Walkway Gallery, Bordertown.  Soma Lumia is assisted through Arts Tasmania.

Supported by Inspiring South Australia and the Tasmanian Government
